Light..sun..warm breezes.  Anew, this time of early spring.  The sweet smell of hycianths to warm a tiny bit of the soul.  I've spent time late in the sleepless night surfing fluffy blogs, design blogs and of course, Pinterest (oh, that is addicting).  I admit, its been a hard long winter.  My body, hormones, and emotions have been in havoc.  Acupuncture, supplements, and alot of time spent in the office (not by choice though).   Time thinking that I may have to make that move, professionally.  The job is relentless.  That is the first word that comes to mind.  Never a lull to re-coup, recover.  You can only work that long before the burn out comes.  It came and has stayed.  I like the people okay, the work, eh..but to cram it,hurry up mentality all the time..NO.  I'm learning to 'dump' it and 'shake' it off the first step out the door, all advice from good people.  I have to do it for my family and for my sake.

I stepped back in my little crafty studio and brought some things to life.  I love my little pile of fabrics--not big but special little bits, or re-purposed from old clothes.  My Flickr shows some of my fabric cuffs I've made and these handmade fabric flower poseys.  They are substantial, approximately 6 inches in diameter, and sewn by hand with a tad of glue to set them.  I am thinking that I can add a backing, pin or ribbon so you can tie or pin to a purse, window, or just to showcase in a basket like I have.

This one I have displayed on a large paper mache egg.

The sweet bunny bag is from this RoxyCreations, all handmade patchwork.  Its adorable! This vignette and the one below is a peek of my foyer--finally found a bookcase the perfect depth.  Spring vignette.

Lastly, a little spring item I put together --really close to my heart right now. I believe it was a decorative crown bowl which I embellished with bling and happy flowers, a paper Spring tag with a wallpaper butterfly. My favorite vintage shredded papers and a little seam binding bow.

I'll post the cuffs next.  Have a good night and a lovely week,

  2. Kristin, I hope you're feeling better. I'm thinking twice about my job too. The thought of my salary based on grant money stresses me out so much.

Your creations are simply gorgeous as always!
BTW the hubby and I heading down to SC on Thursday for a week of fun in the sun. Our first stops on the way down are going to Cowpens, Kings Mountain and Ninety-Six. Were big National Park supporters. Have a great day!

    Hugs,
